Non-expensive skitrip, specially for begginers who may buy point cards instead of the day pass. You can take the BOB ticket from Munich as to Lenggries, but the Bayern Ticket includes the citybus and is not much more expensive. If you don't have your own equipment, rent it before taking the bus, because there are no stores at the top.

Munich, the epitomy of a clean, tidy, organised German city. Beautiful, with majestic buildings, clean streets, No traffic, just bikes! Everybody can cheaply rent a municipal bike from a certain stand in the city and pedal his way to his/her destination. Than he/she just locks the bike for the next person who might need it. Perfect! And the Opera! It' s beauty- and the performances- brought tears to my eyes- literally. The best "Corsaire" I 've ever seen, the same goes for Bellini' s "Norma".
