Bad Godesburg (or "Bad-G") is to Bonn, what the Upper East Side is to Manhattan. Nice restaurants and cafes by the Rhine, close to the main centre, but noticeably more tame, quiet, removed from rest of the city. There is a direct rail link though, so its not a problem getting between the two places

Beautiful little town. Downtown street mall is where you'll find all the shopping and dinning. Public transport is easy with a city train to Bonn and Koln. Beautiful places to walk and Godessbourg castle.
