Dornbach is a small German Village with about 200 people. When I was there in 1983-1986, it had two businesses: a bakery and a resturaunt. It was nice, quiet place, so don't go if you expect excitement.

A must when you go to Mainz is to visit the local Weinstuben. They feature local house wines and offer a local specialty cheese with sweet pickled onions on bread as a companion appetizer. Mainz locals are very friendly and welcoming, and you might even catch a live musician or two in the evenings.
