Travel Tips for Transportation in Rhineland-Palatinate Region

Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate Region, Germany
Nice town, very much to do and to be seen, so good shoes are essential. Lots of modern buildings, next to rests of the Roman empire. Lots of shops, but to me, the most important thing are the museums and the buildings. Not so much nightlife, and very hard to find payable parkingspace. It's better to park the car outside Trier (for free) and take the bus to the centre. Next to the Dom, you can find a winecellar where you can eat excellent at noon for only a few euros.

Bernkastel-Kues, Rhineland-Palatinate Region, Germany
This town isn't really big, but i love it! You can enjoy the small shops there, and the fine restaurants. Also for who would like to go swim, there swimmingpool is great. If you don't like swimmingpools, you can swim in the Moesel, or at the Sauerbronnen (9km) from Bernkastel (close to Trier)

Trier is Germany's oldest city and quite beautiful. Best parking for the Hauptmarkt area is "City Parkhaus" . Leave the parking deck and make a right. Go up the street by the Karstadt (department store) and there you will find the Hauptmarkt. From here, go left to the Porta Nigra or right to the cathedrals.
