Dresden, Saxony Region, Germany
Don't miss the night panorama of this amazing architecture ensemble in the city: When you travel in the summer, take a blanket, a bottle of wine, some friends ore new people you met and enjoy the evening on the meadows of the river Elbe - on the northern side of the river, there you'll have the best view. If you are on the right spot, you will even see the sun glow behind the cupola of the Yenidze, a former tobacco factory.By the way: the lights are turned out at one in the night, so you have plenty of time.

This is a great little town where we can ponder the effect of world war II. Definitely look for a postcard showing the before and after photos of the bombing of Dresden.

Meissen, Saxony Region, Germany
Meissen is a little town in Saxony, but famous for its porcelaine manufactury. Just a short ride away from Dresden, the visit of the manufactury is a must. The city centre is very nice and if you do have enough money, buy one of the fantastic porcelaine.
