Kaisariani Travel Guide

A little paradise in Athens lies in Kaisariani, strangely enough. You will need a car though, or have a strong pair of legs. I am talking about the area beyond the urban mess of the place, way up where the monastery starts. Here, as you go up Himetus mountain, you will find yourself suddenly in an ocean of trees, uncharacteristic of Athens, and then a panoramic view of the city below. The municipality of Kaisariani also operates a cantine with drinks and a few pic-nic-like benches below. Nice...and unknown to most people.
