Nea Smirni Travel Guide

Nea Smrni is an upper middle class southern suburb of athens.  It is convenient to downtown and to the port of pireaus as well as the nice coastal suburb of glyfatha.  The platiea (center) of Nea Smirni is a very nice place to have coffee.  There are many cafes all through the park in the square.  You can take the tram to the subway from the platiea. To get to Nea Smirni using public transport take the metro from Syntagma on red line towards ayios demetrios and get off at syngrou fix then take the tram towards Voulu and get off at Ayios Fontina-Plateia.  The stop is right in the platiea.
