006A trip to this area would not be complete without seeing the spetacular Meteora monesteries. Females are not allowed in the monasteries wearing pants/shorts. Carry a skirt that can be slipped on over your clothes. Some monasteries have skirts that you can borrow during the tour.

0028definitivno najatmosfericnije mjesto u kopnenoj Grckoj... e ja sam tu uzivao... malo mjestace s puno malih lijepih hotelcica od kojih u mnogima s balkona mozete gledati grdosije zvane meteore (goleme stijene sa samostanima, tamo gdje su se pentrali James Bond i mladi Indiana Jones)... posto je malo mjesto, ljudi su opusteni i ljubazni, krajolik je fakat fascinantan... a nije tamo gore tim popovima ni lose... :D

0173If you go to Kalampaka, hike up to Meteora, don't drive. It doesn't take long and it is beautiful! And you save some money. There is a fabulous hostel just at the end of the trail, top of town. The make a great dinner too.
