Kos has attractions for most tastes. from the ' Blackpool with Ouzo ' town of  Kardamena, to the  quiet  sea side villages on the Nothe shores. From the city of Kos, to the  village of Zia.   Kos has large Archeological Sites at Asklepion, Sunset Views to die for at Zia. great beaches at Tigkaki (naturist), Marmari, Paradise Beach ( near Kefalos), and remote beaches on the Southern Tip wwhich are an adventure in themselves just getting there! ( NOT without a 4x4 I warn you! )

In the city of Kos there is a Castle of the Knights, a couple of Mosques, an Archeological museum, a Roman Agora  and a complete Roman Villa (Casa Romana)n restored by the Italians in the 1930's. Kos , renowned for being the birthplace of  Hippocrates, shouldn't be short of the odd medic or two !

Travel Tips from people who've been to Kos
lovely memories of a holiday at 14 year old... stay off the Ozo (local pernod like drink, that is extreamly alcholic - but tasted so nice at the time)

Great place to chill out and just relax. Good place for couples that want to spent some romantic hours on the beach and in nice restaurants.

For those looking for nightlife, their are plenty of bars and the streets are always crowded. So theirs pretty much going on.

The most exclusive club is the fashion club. Just don`t expect too much of the nightlife, its good, but its not as wild as for example in Spain.

Its great for juveniles up to max. 18 and of-course for families and couples.

For getting around the Island, rent a bike. A map can come in pretty handy, although you can`t really get lost, cause the Island is tiny, and theirs not a lot of roads. Just be careful in the town of Kos, traffic is pretty chaotic.

If you are looking for some peace, and you want to have a nice romantic evening, take a ride to Tingaki Beach, which is only about 20 minutes from the town of Kos away. The beach is way less crowded, and much nicer than the one in Kos.

Their lots of nice bars and restaurants, and comes pretty much alive at night, although in a very relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes they light up candles at the beach.... there you have your romantic evening on the beach ;)
