Mistras, also know as "kastro-politeia" (meaning "castle-town") may take your breath from the very moment you see the rock it has been built upon! It is worth walking all the way up to the castle! Since it shall take you several hours to see everything and read the necessary history - which is well-organized accross the small roads of Mistras' historical site - and walk along all important buildings and churches, you must taste "bouzopoula" with plenty of salt and pepper! I would advise you to go and eat "bouzopoula" (it is meat from young pig) to a small village nearby (about 1km from Mistras) which is called Parori. You won't regret it!
