Questions answered about visiting Guam
Would someone be able to tell me about the weather? What are the risks of booking a trip from July 24th to August 1st? Thanks in advance!! I really want to come here, but am nervous about 2 scary word/phrases: Rainy Season and Typhoons! I will be going from Japan to Palau via Guam. I am not elligible for the USA visa waiver program, so I need a transit visa to change planes in Guam. What should I write in the DS-160 form in the "Contact in the US" section? Please help! Hello!
I know a similar question was asked but since it was posted a while back, I wanted to ask again... I'm going to Guam from June 2 ~ June 7, 2012. I've been checking the weather and all I see is that it's raining :( I'm worried that my vacation might be ruined by the rain. How bad is it when it says it's raining in Guam? Do you think I can still enjoy the beach and scuba diving even with the rain?

Travel Tips from people who've been to Guam
Well, what can I say? Tumon is like the little cosmopolitan that could, or couldn't....it depends on your perspective of things. Tumon is the tourist center of Guam. If you must have your dose of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, or whatever brand name must-have, then head on to the Duty Free Shopping Center. Just don't mind the gaggle of Japanese tourists though. The nightlife is something else. Unlike most cities or quaint villages, there are no pubs in Tumon. You either get loud, smoky dance clubs or loud smoky nudie bars. I think people here don't like to hear themselves think and the excessive audio assault coupled with the booze and the fags is a temporary form of catharsis. And also, if you can't stand drunk, military douche bags, then find something else to do. Be careful of butterfaced women. There's a reason why the night clubs are so dark and the street lights haven't been paid for. Tumon also has some good places for grub. Stick to the hole in the walls. My favorite restaurants are Ban Thai and Old Town Chinese Restaurant. If you want to gorge yourself, head on to the buffet table at Cafe Kalachucha found in the Westin Hotel. Good tip? (0) Guam has it all. You have wonderful beaches that have so much to look at while you snorkle. The fish swim around you and the coral is beautiful! I spent most of my time in the water at Tangessen and on the Navy port. The night life is endless. Every club you can think of is here. Its never a dull night. You can get the best BBQ downtown. Bring a camera, swimsuit and your club clothes and have a great time. Good tip? (0) Everyone speaks English and every one is friendly. I think the island is more green and beautiful. It almost feels like the US. But the closer you look it isn't. It's a great place. Things seems a little primitive. But the people are great. There are lots of dogs on Guam and most of them are pretty harmless. Good tip? (0)
