There are not very many good places to stay in Siguiri if you don't happen to have friends there.  Hotel Tamtam used to be an OK place.  Very cheap and quite rundown, but good enough to spend a night or two.

Another Guinean town that lacks electricity!  However, it makes up for that in cultural richness.  If you don't speak the local language, French is a necessity.
