009The waves are calm and the water is nice. The restaurants have at or near US pricing, but the food is good. The city is a little, I'll say, less than clean. You can find a cheap hotel with okay accommodations or you can find a better hotel with pretty decent accommodations. Agree on the price before hand and pay each night, even if you are there for a string of days. At our hotel the manager tried to change the price on us when we paid and were trying to leave. Ladies, walking around in the city, the men cat call alot!

01874I just want to throw out a warning if you order Margaritas at nine in th morning ask for the alchohal to be in them otherwise they will give you virgin margaritas. So... make sure not to be acting drunk after having a few cuz you could find yourself very embaressed later.

0010Miami beach is 16km, about 10miles, outside of Tela and might be worth a visit if you want to go swimming. Has a place with free deck and chairs.
