Honduras - Precautions

Definitivamente "Tegu", ubicada entre puros cerros, es una ciudad peligrosa e insegura... definitvamente hay cosas mejores en Honduras como las "Islas de la Bahía".

Sand fleas are ravenous... Bring bug spray.

you MUST NOT drink the water. but, do visit the outskirts of the city. buy as much coffee as you can find. enjoy the summer rains each evening. visit the nearest United Pentecostal Church that you can find - what an amazing trip!

If you have the guts to travel by bus alone, don't take the window seat as thieves, seated next to you can attack you with a nife, while their is no way out.

Don't walk the beach at night, and make sure you leave early enough to get a water taxi, otherwise you pay $20 for a regular taxi to go 2 miles!

Lovely people in Honduras, but Teguc is a bit of a hole. Very dangerous in terms of street crime, esp getting robbed with a weapon. Better probably to tour the smaller cities in Honduras and San Pedro Sula if you have to choose a bigger city.

Let's get a check at the inside of the island....

This place is beautiful! There's so much to do and see! Make this one of your top ten on your list in seeing the world! You'll thank me later :)
