Lantau Island is Hong Kong's biggest Island.  It is where Disneyland and the Hong Kong airport are located, Discovery Bay (an expat community), and the largest Buddha in Hong Kong.

The largest island in the territory.  Home of the Po Lin Monastery.  Numerous Budda are there and there is plenty of worshiping there.  It is home of the worlds largest outdoor Budda.  Do not go just to see the large Budda as fog ruined our trip.  You could not see the Budda at all.  The trip was wasted since that is the main attraction.

Cheung Sha Beach sold as a surfers beach, despite the fact that I wasn't very lucky with the size of the waves, the water was extremely polluted.
Remember to always bring mosquito repellent too.
