ADD TO LISTTsim Sha Tsui, located on the tip of the Kowloon Peninsula is one of the high end shopping districts in the city. Many of the cultural centres and museums are located in this district. That, and its central location makes it a popular, albeit expensive hub for travellers to stay during their visit of the city. The Star Ferry departs from Tsim Sha Tsui across to Central.

Travel Tips from people who've been to Tsim Sha Tsui
I remember taking this ferry when I was younger with my grandmother, and it was a great experience to ride the ferry again. This is like a HK institution. The Ferry goes from Tsim Sha Tsui over to Central or vice versa, and the whole ride is pretty quick. You get a great view of the harbour from both ends and sure beats sitting underground in the metro. Highly recommended to try at least once –more so if you’re staying at the Marco Polo hotel as it lets out right outside the hotel :p
Go to the TST Star Ferry terminal at night and you will see the beauty of the HK skyline. At night it looks even more amazing than during the day.
You should stay in W Hotel. Its luxurious You should try the kebabs sold there
