Travel Tips from people who've been to Keszthely
Keszthely (pronounced Kestay) is a little town situated on the north west edge of Lake Balaton in central Hungary. The Lake is known as the 'Hungarian Sea' as the country in landlocked. The popular attraction in the town are the garden and palace of Gyorgy Festetics, who was a scholar in the area. There are a few museums and sights to see here, but it's more of a day trip place rather than somewhere to stay for a longer period of time. A little knowledge of German is useful in the town, as English isn't widely spoken. Good tip? (0) Dolphin Hotel, great place, cheap, cheerful & clean Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Keszthely
