Travel Tips for Iceland Climate

I have been all over Iceland, even outside of the few major cities,its a very interesting and beautiful country and most people are nice but most seem to just want you gone from their country . They have the best Milk in the world!! hahaha ,has something to do with the fact that the cattle have never been corrupted by any chemicals or pollutants from the outside world kind of like the whole country,they really are somewhat of a country in a bubble. Bring a variety of clothes mostly warm stuff you can layer as the weather changes every 15 mins,rain,snow,mist more snow WIND! etc

A city like no other, even though not much to offer-but its contradictions....a place that everyone should visit at least once. Small town, easily visited in one day, nightlife inavoidable-watch for excessive drinking broken glass everywhere...Iceland is best to visit over summer, due to weather, but Reykjavik itself any time. Expect bad service in kafes and restaurants. Transportation is also very bad, since everyone has a car, buses don´t go everywhere. Very gay friendly.

Hallormsstadhur, Iceland
I'm pretty sure you'd know if you were in this area, but anyway: be sure to take a walk through
Hallormsstaðarskogur , Iceland's largest forest. If you get lost, just stand up. :) But seriously, it's a very pleasant stroll if the weather is fine.
Just across Lagarfljót/Lögurinn is Hengifoss , which, at over 100m, is one of the highest waterfalls in Europe, I guess. The hike there takes about an hour (possibly more if you're not used to climbing steep hills) from a nearby parking lot; be sure to wear good shoes as you have to climb over rocks and jump streamlets as you get higher up (it looks like a deceptively smooth walk in the beginning). Also prepare for strong, wet, biting, cold wind, even in high summer.

the weather in Iceland can change at any moment. in one day you can have all from sun to snow. So my advice is: bring clothes for all kinds of weather. it is better to be safe than sorry.

the weather in Iceland is very unpredictable. It can be sunny, windy,rainy, snowing and then sunny again in one day. Doesn´t matter if you are here in summer or winter bring a good jacket or coat with you. You will never know. It can be warm but all of a sudden you go from sunbathing to freezing :)
