A lot of people make the mistake of just seeing Delhi as a stop-over point. Delhi has SO much to offer and you are truly missing out if you dont spend some time there. Aside from the obvious sights (The Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate etc.) make sure you see Old Delhi. Take a cycle rickshaw down Chadni Chowk, stopping at the spice market and the Gurdwara along the way. Visit the Jama Masjid (mosque), spend at least half a day at Akshardam, and take a trip to Qutb Minar, The Ba'hai Lotus Temple and Humayan's Tomb. You really need a few days in Delhi to do it justice.

Women, prepare to be harassed.  Your bottom will be pinched, no matter how big, small, attractive, intimidating it is.  Rickshaw man will try to rip you off - don't freak out, they do it to Delhites as well.  The government emporiums are good to pick up things without the hassle of bargaining if you're tired of arguing over a rupee as they have fixed prices and most of the crafts have been hand picked for quality - you may pay a bit more but it's hassle free shopping.  It's a 'love it or hate it' kinda city - best of luck.
