Bhubaneshwar itself is a little lack-lustre compared to attractions near it like Konark or Puri, but it has its share of sights and more than its share of NGOs and starred hotels for its size... while here, try the Oriya thali and those lovely variations on sweets made out of cottage cheese... check out too the very recent initiative of local folk to paint many of the boundary walls of buildings in Bhubaneshwar with traditional paintings on Oriya folk and tribal themes instead of posters or graffiti...
