Almora Travel Guide

About a half hour drive up the mountains from Almora is a place called Kasar Devi. It's much quieter, the view is spectacular and the little guest house all along the side of the mountain are lovely. I stayed at the flowerhouse and had a love ly room with a fireplace for only 100rps. If you go in January there's hardly anyone there, it's very cold at night but during the day as long as the sun is out you can get away with a t-shirt and jeans. Rent a bike and check out the local roads and smaller dirt ones going through the woods. There are many out of the way interesting temples and small towns to find. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Himalayas.
