Travel Tips from people who've been to Macleodganj
so... dhali lama's palace (his holliness) is nice and all but u still need a place to sleep. Tipa road is the road leads up the hill to dharamkot, if u walk from mcloed ganj onthat street u'll find many beautiful guesthouses just 5 min. from the main streets of mcloed in the woods. all restaurants are good in mcloed ganj, go to ashoka's for great indian food or that small italian place near it. breakfast is all around. bagsu is the small village near mcloed which has also great accomodation and restaurants, go to the haifa caffe for any food and try their "hello to the queen" which is a dessert ( at the end of the meal) and also on the same street (hill) of the haifa is a small place creates the "bagsu cake" which is a choclate piece of heaven, must try it!
and the rest of the time when u don't eat or sleep u can take courses for cooking or yoga, teach English to tibetien monks or hike up the hills around for fun
enjoy india Good tip? (0) Tibetan stronghold... charming city... synonymous with Dharmasala really... stay here rather than than in Dharamsala below... its got much more to see and do and experience in terms of Tibetan culture, food, lovely local folk....stroll up and down its main streets and in the alleys leading from it... Good tip? (0) Carpe Diem is purely one of the best food places I have ever visited. It is an idol of what you get for what you spend. The food is incredible and all of it is no matter whether you get a breakfast roll or a thukpa. The staff is very friendly and nice. The view from the terrace is great. The prices are affordable to any traveler. p.s. You better try their 100% juices and lassi's Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Macleodganj
