The architecture is stunning... and not just for its world-famous erotica either... spend most temple-seeing time in the Western Group temples, they have by far the best ... you don't really need a guide within this complex... its quite doable on your own and you are spared the gory posture details for which the guides have a predilection, ... nearby is Raja's Cafe, upstairs on a covered terrace, for a nice drink and meal as you enjoy the street sights below... Khajuraho is not very convenient by train as they don't reach right up to it ... so fly in or take a taxi...
