jodhpur can easily qualify as capital of indian exotica... it is the place to find heritage hotels (more like the first, as heritage hotels in rajasthan are a dime a dozen) and also the antiques shopping capital of the continent. a great place to visit, but only when the weather permits (winters only). the best place to stay is the umaid bhavan palace... it was one of the last palaces to be built in the state and is an art deco landmark.
