Udaipur A nice place in majestic India's region Rajhastan. Usually it's situated on the lake, but there was no water at a time we were there. Peacefull, nice buildings painted in sky blue colour, narrow streets with good shoping stalls... And, of course, very good indian food... Not so crowded as other cities in India. Lots of homless dogs were wondering around which is also very common.

For luxury-traveller go to "Taj Lake Palace" or even better "the Oberoi Udaivilas Udaipur" thats really the best you can get in this aera. For all others take dinner at a roof-top restaurant and enjoy the James Bond Movie "Octopussy" and the beautiful view to the Lakes

Udaipur,Rajasthan (India) also called as the city of lakes.Although u can get there on a bus i suggest u take the train if u dont wanna get roughed up. It has lots of good places and the royal palace stands out. The city has a look of a hill station unlike the other cities popular for horrible heat of Rajasthan. Well conneceted from the cities nearby. You can enjoy all sorts of cuisines here but i suggest u go with the rajasthani thali, its spicy and real fun. You can try kachori or Dal baati choorma. I feel if u r visiting Rajasthan this is the place you would not afford to miss.
