Panaji Travel Guide

Panaji, also called Panjim is the capital of Goa, which was a Portuguese colony until 1991, when it became part of India. It is a rather small town and yet there a few thing to be seen without spending too much time though. Panjim is not a place where you would stay, because there are far better places in Goa with nice and cheap Hotels, Hostels and appartments, you just visit the town on a daytrip in combination with Old Goa or maybe a visit of one of the stil many remaining Portuguese Villas, which are open for visit, mainly no entry fee, but a small donation is expected. Some of those villas also rent rooms. Served by a number of airlines: First Choice, Condor, Air India, Air Deccan (now part of Kingfisher), Kingfisher, Go, Spicejet, Jet Airways, IndiGo

Stay at the Panjim Inn when in Goa, India.  It is beautiful! Amazing service and not too costly.  I would stay there again. There is easy access (walking) to the town and a short drive from Old Goa and the gorgeous beaches!!  You can also set up a car to take you to the Tropical Spice Plantation, which was my favorite.
