Juhu is located north of Mumbai, just half an hour from Mumbai intl. Airport. It has a huge beach, but I wouldn't bathe in the Sea. A lot of hotels, some which are much cheaper than in central Mumbai which is outrageously expensive when it comes to hotels. Some good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Less than hour by train from central Mumbai.

You can leave out the back entrance of the J.W. Marriott hotel and you are on Juhu beach. Be mindful of high-tide--from my hotel window the beach completely disappeared at high tide.
