005Mt Bromo is a real hidden wonder. Go there really early in the morning to get the best experience. The hike up to the crater rim only takes 15 minutes and we managed to surprise even the local water sellers so that they weren't up to pushing us yet. The sea of sands is a strange place. You can explore it on horseback. There are some fab lodges to stay in on the rim so you can actually see Bromo smouldering from your room.

0164Though the sun rise in the highest altitude in Bromo Crater complex ( that is Penanjakan) seems the main course for this trip, but a very good luck is needed to guarranty that the we can experience the sunrise on some 2700 metres. Other wise, stay in the bromo crater only and enjoy its humble sunrise going on time everyday.
