"Deer Island" has its name for a reason: just before setting out to dive there with shuttle boats, there are some deer on the Bali coastside. The trip to the island itself (which is part of a nature reserve) is quite pleasant, if you're lucky dolfins might emerge just in front of the boat. The diving itself is quite allright, some pretty nice coral and severl divespots such as the bat caves. For begginers recommended mostly, though currents on the east and north side are for more intermediate divers.
