For 1 day trip, you can enjoy Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. It has a lot of historical sites and stories that you might like. These are a few of Jakarta's tourism objects that you may visit : 1. Museum Nasional / National Museum This museum also called Museum Gajah (Elephant Museum) because of the elephant statue which is placed in front of the museum. The elephant statue was a gift from Thailand's king, King Chulalongkorn. Some of Jakarta's historical relics are in here. 2. Museum Fatahillah This building was a Stadhuis or city hall of Governor General Johan Van Hoorn in 1707 - 1710. The architecture of the building is same as Dam Palace in Amsterdam. Antique furnitures, Jakarta's historical stories, Tarumanegara and Pajajaran's historical relics from 17th until 19th century are in here. You can also see Meriam Si Jagur or Si Jagur Cannon which is famous. 3. Monumen Nasional / National Monument Monumen Nasional is the symbol of Jakarta. It built in 1961. It's made from marmer and on its top, a torch-shaped statue which was made from 35kg gold was put. The monument means 'Api yang tak kunjung padam' or 'Fire that never extinguished', mirrors Indonesian's spirit. 4. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is a complex of Indonesia's cultures. It is a place where you can find the whole Indonesia in smaller area. 5.
