This is the Iranian name for the world-famous Persepolis ... an absolute must see in Iran ... the ruins are an eye-opener, take your time there ... best reached from Shiraz on a cab organised by your hotel ... everyone does it and the prices are not very different if you took one on your own ... the bookshops at the site have interesting videos/dvds of the site and its historical importance ...
