Travel Tips from people who've been to Ballaghaderreen
You need plenty of euros to visit this part of Ireland. Durkins bar is a must they do the BEST lunchtime meals good, honest, wholesome cooking washed down with wonderful draught Guiness. If you stay at Durkins ask for a room on the back as the noise from the bar is a nightmare. These rooms have a special views of yes you have guessed it more buildings. Ballagh is a fast growing town there is another high rise hotel block but its not the same as being in the town. Loads and loads of pubs. Ballagh also has a great hardware store with a small (yes you guessed it ) bar at the back just what you need after buying a pound of nails and mop and bucket. Hire a car and check out the area there are some great little towns villages and scenery go to the Ox Mountains FANTASTIC. Good tip? (0) Ask a travel question about Ballaghaderreen
