Travel Tips from people who've been to Caiseal
The 'Rock of Cashel' is probably the only tourist attraction within the town itself.  Originally a stone ringfort given tot he church in the tenth century it was the place where the earliest romanesque architecture (cormac's chapel) can be found in Ireland.  The high cross has been damaged but it still a fabulous sight.  There is one hostel in the town that is very basic and self catering, and a hotel on the main street is situated inside a 15th/16th century tower house, if you're looking for something a bit fancier.  Plenty of pubs, that do food and accomodation.  A good place to stay just over night or as a base for traveling to other attractions in the region.

The Rock of Cashel is amazing. Stay at the Ladyswell House B&B. The family that owns it is very nice and knowledgeable. Also, they have the coolest dog - and irish setter named Rory.

Great Irish Romanesque cathedral, Cashel (in English) was also the place where the High King Brian Boru was coronated.
