The 'Rock of Cashel' is probably the only tourist attraction within the town itself. Originally a stone ringfort given tot he church in the tenth century it was the place where the earliest romanesque architecture (cormac's chapel) can be found in Ireland. The high cross has been damaged but it still a fabulous sight. There is one hostel in the town that is very basic and self catering, and a hotel on the main street is situated inside a 15th/16th century tower house, if you're looking for something a bit fancier. Plenty of pubs, that do food and accomodation. A good place to stay just over night or as a base for traveling to other attractions in the region.
