Guess what - you can meet ghosts in Knock, and I'm not lying.  I met mine 8 miles north of the town, near the turn to Connemara.  He was an old guy with a handlebar moustache, a grey ducktail and green socks, riding an old bike.. it's a good story, but too long for here!  Go to Knock and get your own personal ghost story.

Without getting too much philosophical, I think Cong is one of those quiet, silent, semi-lonely places that we all need to visit from time to time in our life. As life get faster we may run the risk of getting so much caught up in its hectic pace to forget its real meaning. Cong is a place to stop and meditate. It provides unparalleled walks through thick forests and breath-taking cliffs. Perfect gateway to walking up and down the west coast, from Clare to Sligo... and beyond. If you are an experienced walker you'll never have it so good!

Go there during the month of July, there's a very well-known "Salmon festival". You can try to fish salmon directly in the meddle of the river and if like me you're to impatient and you try to catch them with hands (wich is forbidden and you're out of the game) go to one of the excellent but pretty expensive restaurant and enjoy the frech salmon with baked and stuff potatoes with garlic butter. Hummmm
