Leifear, aka Lifford, is the capital town of Donegal. Best place to elect as 'homebase' to visit the stunning Donegal National Park. Don't forget to fill your shopping bags with those unique woolen socks and sweaters. Made with wool from the peculiar Irish 'black' sheep, they might be a little expensive but are of the best quality and last a lifetime, quite literally.
