Laxey Travel Guide

A nice little place on the Isle of Man, from where you take the steam railway up the mountain. Here you will also find the Laxey wheel, which is worth a pic or two, though probably not the admission price (you can picture it from outside). Also a nice cup of tea around the station and a gift shop on the way to the wheel. A cute place for an hour, plus nice tree-lined landscapes.

Laxey is home to Lady Isabella which is the world's largest working water wheel.  With a wheel diameter of 227 feet it can pump water from 2000 feet below the surface.  Make sure you climb to the top for some great views.
