i love the dead sea although its dead it gives u life, it is so basic that the pleasures to seek are found in the springs black mud and salty sea that has so much beyonce that it feels like its trying to spit u out.i would say my last trip trip had equal doses of the good the bad ad the ugly. i turned up o a jewish holidy without a room in summer, u whould book and my oly option was to sleep i a room with yaba a russian woman who seemed to be dieig of terrible flesh wouds there was o air con ad she wailed i the night. poor yaba i could only suggest pee but i think she found it pretty uouthodox ad only spoke russia, she could only say allo vera allo vare but there was non, the reseptionist was a very agressive lady with a chain metal bra who was about to retire i a week ad was givig all her gusto in beibg the worst customer service in history the security gard was a hot hippy who had a two gun belt ad a bucket of gat that kept him stoned and horny at all times, i then got a massage from beeny who is a guy who drives a jeep around wildly in just his pants with a bunch of bewildered dogs i the back, i took up the beey special massage because
he is a therapist aparetly well he splashed me with a half litter bottle of sesame oil and went at me like a jewish mother to a snitzel, it was appaling, then after beatig off the other guys jesus in heaven i was tired i eeded a break, then the very quite bedwin gardeer came forward ad saved me, we had a even of pipes dancig good food made from desert herbs and some hands on healing and some good stories. i was very greatful for his hospitality ad left the next day for jeruselem refreshed.............but then there where the fucking christian fudamentalists to deal with.......... for half this trip i did stay in the field school which is like a concrete bunker with an outside museum full of stuffed animals , the place feels deserted so its peaceful with absolutly beautiful views ad many ibexand a very fantastic buffet made at night by some very nice palistinia boys.

Great place to have fun. Loads of discos and night clubs. Beach destination around the year, the temperature of Red Sea is never below 20 degrees celsius. Some might get disturbed by the fact that there are srmed Israeli soldiers everywhere (like anywhere in Israel) and if you´re entering a mall or any bigger supermarket, a security man will check your hand-bag or rucksack before you can enter. Elat is very safe destination though. One doesn´t have to worry much about thieves or about the arab-israeli conflict. The Jordanian and Egyptian borders are close, so therefore there are quite a few check-up points on the roads to Elat. If you like scoopa diving ot snorkelling, this is your place. Red Sea is famous for it´s beautiful corals and colourful fishes. If you don´t dive yourself, you can always make a trip with glass bottom boat and see the colourful sea life from there. There´s really not much to see in Elat. They don´t have historical sites there. But you can try some of the tourist excurcions: the camel safari in a desert, bedouin night or to the nearby wild life resort Timna Park. Elat is quite expensive. Food, beverages, alcohol, accomodation. So if you´re travelling with a small budget, don´t stay too long in Elat. Much cheaper destinations by the Red Sea are on the Egyptian side of the border: try Nuewiba or Dahab instead.
