Anacapri, Campania Region, Italy
Anacapri is incredible. It's a small mountain town that bleeds down to the cliffs on the Isle of Capri. It's a small enough town to be able to walk around the narrow streets. Buy some lemon soap and try some Limoncello, really, anything with the lemons of Capri in it will be exceptional. You'll see. But be careful with the Limoncello; it's a deceptively intoxicating liqueur. Also, take the chair lift up to Monte Solaro. I can only say the view is in my top three best world views of all the places I have been. You can hike down the mountain at a certain point, in the direction of Capri (the other village where you likely first entered the Isle). Along the way are more astonishing views, and a little hidden chapel tucked in the trees. So serene. But if you hike down the mountain to Capri instead of taking the chair lift back down to Anacapri, just follow the red dots on the tree trunks. You'll soon see a large rock on which it is spray-painted in red 'Capri ---'. It's a hike that's worth the effort.

Napoli, Campania Region, Italy
Napoli is fabulous... and very historical... with nearby Pompei its major draw where you realise what volcanoes can do... simply a must... compared to Norhtern Italian cities, Napoli is somewhat chaotic... this adds to is charm too, with men and women buzzing around on motorcycles and hanging around at street corners (beware of motorcycle bag-snatchers and picpocketers in Napoli)... this is also the city where the pizza originated and it doesn't get any better anywhere else...don't miss it ...Napoli is a convenient base too for taking in the scenic beauty of neighbouring islands like Capri, Anaapri or Sorrento on day-trips...and there are museums and sights within Napoli too...

Pompei, Campania Region, Italy
Adjacent to Naples, this is sight not to be missed... apart from its historical importance as a venue for ancient Roman life and decadence... it is an amazing geographical wonder thanks to the volvcano lava that flowed into it and froze things exactly as they were at that point in time... you can see various persons frozen mid-activity, rooms and courtyards, an amphitheatre, brothels, bathing houses and so on... get there on a coach from Napoli...
