Travel Tips from people who've been to Pavia
While less chaotic than other parts of Italy to the South, Pavia does have a dubious reputation for the enormous number of pedestrians killed by motorists each year. Don't expect the Italians to follow the letter of the road rules like the Northern Europeans do! Also be forewarned that the first few times I was there, you could not see anything because the fog was among the most intense I have ever seen in my life, and I lived in the UK for two years :)) Good tip? (0) Pavia is a student city. There are many bars around the center: La Piazza della Vittoria. Especially in the summer months the students are on the streets till late night. If you wanna go out for dancing you have to go to Milan which is just 30 minutes away by train or car. Good tip? (0) Student town where students outnumber locals... Very nice small town with one of the oldest universities of Italy. Ponte Vecchio over the Ticino river, very nice in spring . Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Pavia
