Travel Tips from people who've been to Messina
Messina,
One of the best weeks of my life was spent here!! Met people I'll never forget!
I generally found that the further south in Italy you go the more fun, outgoing, less prejudice and crazy people seem to be, which most Italians will admit to also. So meeting people is rarely a problem, any bar, event, cafe or hostel is teaming with people willing to talk and be friendly.
Maybe even a little too friendly towards women but it's all in good fun :)
A lovely little city, close to many major attractions all over sicily!
Good tip? (0) Inner city buses are not very good: they are not punctual and they are not in the bst of states. On the other hand, they are cheap and they transport all around the city at a good price. The timetable is more an opinion than a rule, don't trust it! Good tip? (0) Wonderful place, the closest city to continental Italy (in all the Sicilia Island;) The best place to meet friends in the evenings is Duomo. You can sit on the stairs near the church and drink wine with Italian friends. The city is unforgettable...:) Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Messina
