Travel Tips for Dos and Don’ts in Tuscany Region

Forte dei Marmi, Tuscany Region, Italy
I had the best Italian food ever in Forte dei Marmi. Don't go to the tourist traps though. If you go down some of the sidestreets in town and try out a local restaurant that even looks a bit shabby, you will get the best food ever; and the prices are much more reasonable too.

Do not leave your valuables anywhere in sight!!!! Left my handbag on the chair while I paid for my coffee (less than 3 metres away) and lost my purse. Noone of course saw anything. The up side is that when you find the local police (be careful, there are two kinds of police in Italy who deal with different issues) they were delightful. Practice sign language if your Italian doesn't go further than 'lasagne .

A beautiful city to chill down. One should stay within the old city wall. Should visit in summer. There is an excellent Pizzeria, one of the best I have ever had. Every local would point you to this, that how we found it. I forgot the name.

I had my wallet stolen there! So be very careful. And be ready to deal with the local police who don't speak much English. They probably deal with tens of similar cases everyday and therefore are not very empathetic.
