It's a great place to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet. It's a nice little town, easily reached by bus or car from Portoferraio (apprpox. 20 KM/30 min. bus). Mainly Italian tourists, few others, manages to retain small-town charm. Good departure pont for exploring the mountains and walking paths of the interior & the western part of the island.
