It's a Thermal Town in the north east of Italy: it's perfectly based to visit Padova, Venice on a one-day trip, or the Euganian Hills.
It's thermae are known to be used since roman days 3/4 b.c.
It has budget accomodation as well as luxury one: it is a perfect place for a romantic weekend.

Not a lot of english speakers in this quaint little town.  I had to order train tickets in italian, make sure to brush up on Italian basics and carry an italian dictionary. You want to get on the right train with the right ticket!

it is a perfect place to stay for the carneval in venice as venice is full that time of the year. the have early buses/trains so you can spend the whole day in venice.
