Treviso Travel Guide

If you fly into or out of Treviso airport (with Ryanair) there is a great pizza restaurant/bar within very short walking distance from the airport (virtually oppoisite the Alfa Romeo garage - you will see it as you come in by bus). A great and cheaper alternative to normal airport fayre.

About Treviso: I used to land there a lot with Ryanair, but never actually see the city, until one day I had plenty of time, so I started wondering in the streets, and my GOD, what a hidden jewel. This city has an old past, with walls, a beautiful old city hall, ... AND shopping facilities (not that I am so much into shopping) to take your hat off, and cheap as well. But the two things for me which make it so romantic is: water + watermills and winebars-shops. A great place to go, not just to land with the airplane !!! 

In Viale Fra Giocondo there is a small trattoria featuring a top choice of local food. The pricing is reasonable. I do not remember the name but it is the only small trattoria in that area, across the road from the old city walls. Buon appetito!
