really good place to go to, good places to visit are the castle (where You can dress up in original kimono and take pictures for free) and the park next to it, worth making it a in-between stop between Hiroshima and Izumo-taisha

One must go to Himeji, and see the most prettiest castle standing in Japan.  Close to the Seto Oohashi Bridge that ties to Shikoku Island.
