Yokosuka Travel Guide

Yokosuka was my home for almost 4 years while I was in the navy. If you want to be somewhere you'll be likely to run into people who speak english this would be a good starting point. The yokosuka chuo train station can take you anywhere you want to go on the island but its the same just about anywhere you go on the mainland. Its a nice city with three large gardens and the locals are mroe accepting of forigners in the area than other places you might go. 

If you like to party check out Yokohama, short train stop away!  Also if you are staying close to the Naval base the haunch will never fail you - night time karaoke starts at 7pm and they have a wicked chu-hi stand.  Yum!
