Kenya

Game reserves, beautiful beaches, coral reefs, fascinating cultures and majestic mountains – these are all things that can be found in Kenya. This country, famously known for game viewing, features a number of parks throughout the country. The Masai Mara, the most popular of the reserves, is located west of Nairobi bordering the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. In the Masai Mara, you can see the famous Wildebeest migration, with congregations of millions of wildebeest, and the corresponding rich array of predators and other wildlife that follow the migration. See it all in a four-wheel vehicle, or get a birds-eye view through a hot air balloon ride. While here, also make sure to learn about the Masai, a nomadic herding group recognizable by their bright red garb. For bird lovers, Lake Nakuru is a must see, with as much as 2 million flamingos at once. This is also a sanctuary for Rothschild giraffes and black rhinos. For those who want a truly rustic experience, visit the Marsabit National Park in Northern Kenya.  You will have the opportunity to set your own camp and see large herds of elephants and rare animals. Mountain lovers should be sure to visit the high plateau region with beautiful volcanic mountains such as Mount Kenya, an alpinist’s dream. White water enthusiasts will enjoy foaming rapids in the Tana, Athi and Ewaso rivers that offer thrilling experiences all the way up to class 5 runs, but without the crowds of other famous rivers. Be sure to also visit ancient Swahili cities such as Lamu and Gedi. Finally, relax and discover the historical city of Mombasa, situated right at the coast of Kenya, with its Portuguese and Arab influenced buildings, beautiful bright white beaches and amazing coral reefs.

Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
If you stay in Nairobi and you like to eat meet, ask for the restaurant "Carnivore". Pay once and eat meat as much as you can.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
that´s why we also call it Nairobberi
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
If you are doing a stopover at the Nairobi airport, make sure you carry your valuables with you. Bury deeply anything that you can't take on the plane. I got my leatherman stolen from there, and I had wrapped it in a shirt before putting it in my backpack but someone still found it!
Kakamega, Western Kenya, Kenya
Visitez la forêt tropicale avant qu'elle ne disparaisse!
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Nairobi is a good hub flying into East Africa and probably your cheapest option on airfare.
Kericho, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Tea bushes for miles! Stayed at the hotel, built during the colonial days. Can imagine what it would have been like. But today, its seedy and worn. No upkeep, redecoration or plain pizazz! Still the air-conditioning worked, there was hot water and food was served in the dining room.
Narok, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Capitale des Masaï, Narok est sur la route pour le Masaï Mara. Le marché est intéressant. Pour le reste, on ne s'y arrête pas vraiment
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Ah, Mombasa! J'adore cette ville avec son architecture orientale, ses marchés, la mer. Comparée à Nairobi, c'est tellement plus agréable et plus beau!
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
You will never believe the size of pot holes they are crater's
Kisumu, Nyanza Region, Kenya
Get ur mosquito repellant and sun screen ready because you will need them And bring a lot of cash to spend!!
Lamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Catch a dowh to a secluded beach but watch for stone fish
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
The Flame tree restaurant is great to meet other travelers also visit Karen Blixons house.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Make an effort to get to know the locals. If you stay at a resort hotel, they will convince you the 'beach boys' are there to rup you off. They're not. They are just trying to make a living. If you get to know them, they will provide you with the most interesting tours you can do, trips into the local villages, guided tours at low tide of the coral gardens, all for a small tips. Making local friends goes a long way.
Malindi, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Take a glass bottom boat trip and make sure you take the opportunity to get in the sea and snorkel. Snorkels usually provided, but don't forget your towel.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Mombassa is a big city without any charm, it's very dirty. I will not say it's dangerous, but you don't feel safe anyway. there is allot of trafic also. there is nothing to do.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
unless u are travel hardend or dont mind quite a bit of a dangerous adventure then fly dont travel by public transport the mombassa road is a death trap!!!!!! also if u can go out of season u gt the beach to urself and its amazing
Kampi Ya Samaki, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Island Camp, out on Lake Baringo, is a fabulous place to stay. It is pricey and must be booked, but well worth it. The boat leaves from Jonathan Leakey's property, near Kampi-ya-Samaki.
Watamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Favorite hotel in Watamu is Ocean Sports, although now under new management and pricey. Other must do stuff: Gedi ruins, ca. 6 km away. Also, Bio-Ken Snake Park, probably the finest and best run in East Africa. Mida Creek and Arabuko-Sokoke Forest for birding (although you need a guide for the latter.
Nyahururu, Central Kenya, Kenya
If you are into neat weird things, go to the Falls and ask someone for a "kinyonga." He'll bring you a chameleon, one of the strangest lizards in the world. Totally harmless, and you must let it go but a neat experience.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
A worthwhile day trip item is to see Daphne Sheldrick's elephant orphans.. out near the Nairobi Game Park.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
If you are planning to visit the city centre, go as part of a guided tour group or blend in as a local. There's not a great deal to see, but it is an experience. Some of the woodworking cooperatives produce some spectacular carved items.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Make sure to arrange car/taxi type travel- no public transport.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Truly beautiful sunsets.

Get ready to take a lot of pictures of the beautiful animals
Embu, Eastern Kenya, Kenya
You must have a beer at the Izaak Walton, and eat nyama ya kuchoma at the market, good walks in the Mt Kenya Forest - but for more laughs continue to Meru.

Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Superfly, make sure you spend some time in downtown Nairobi....it won't work but you can earnestly try to get a sense of urban Africa....  Very big bags of Smith's Chipsticks (salt and vinegar) are available and are good....as are the very beefy sausagerolls. Wimpy bars abound for nostaligic Britons (though there are apparently still 300 of these in the UK).  A marvellous bustling place by day, everybody seemed very friendly...but do be cautious at night.  And try not to attract hangers-on that are simply trying to sell you a safari that you don't want.  If I wanted to see animals I would go to a zoo....I came to Kenya to check out Nairobi, now beat it!
Kisumu, Nyanza Region, Kenya
fun, theres a cool zoo, good resterants.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
dont trust the people who take your bags out, they pick pocketed me.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Gateway to other parts of Kenya
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
To enjoy Mombasa, one needs to visit the crisp white sand beaches and enjoy it with a drink of the local Madafu; There are alot of activities that one can really enjoy doing e.g. Deep sea fishing of vibrant beautiful fishes, visiting the Fort Jesus, Gedi Ruins etc.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
the greatest excursion that i propose you is in kisite island. the best beach you have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Try and take the train if you can, all the books say travel first class, which was fun, but over rated, if you re interested in meeting fellow travels travel 2nd class and then you share your room with three other travelers.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Amazing Safari, stayed at the Governers camp for 3 nights, saw all the animals possible in the massia mara and would suggest everyone does it at least once
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
it is a dangerous city!!!
Tambach, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Tambach is really a feature rather than a place... this is one of the best view of the Great Rift Valley - The Tambach escarpment above the Kerio Valley.
Nanyuki, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
A must visit for folks who love the Kenya people is Nanyuki Spinners and Weavers. It is near the hospital.. a women's cooperative, it is run by a wonderful woman named Anna. wool, dyes, weaving, everything done on their own.. current economic situation is really hammering them.. Look for Spinners and Weavers on the web.
Naro Moru, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Check out Naro Moru River Lodge.. If you are a birder, walk downstream for an hour or so.. closest views I have ever gotten of giant kingfisher and red-chested cuckoo.
Maralal, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
North of here is a farm at a place called Losiolo.. have your driver ask how to get there (about 40 minutes) anyway, one of the best views of the Rift is here... 2 - 3 thousand feet down. Maralal is also where the famous latter-day English explorer, Sir Wilfred Thesiger, spent his last days.
Lamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Lamu is the land that time forgot, and definitely a place to be "off the grid." However, those seeking the calm coastal life be warned: you cannot arrive without being approached by a throng of "guides" offering their services, which can be annoying to those wanting to be left alone. Frankly you just have to find one that you feel comfortable with and accept their offer because you can't do anything in Lamu without a guide. They will become your best friends, and are indispensible in figuring out how things work in Lamu. They will organise day trips, dhow boat rides, tours of historic ruins, snorkelling/diving, and partying in local hotels (even if they are not permitted to enter the premises)... they will even leave you alone when instructed to do so. Bring a sarong, and a hat, and try to rent a house with a rooftop terrace / bedroom.
Wasini, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Take the Charlie Claw's Wasini dhow trip (with snorkelling/SCUBA diving in a marine park) and a delicious lunch of fresh crab on the island. (Avoid booking immitation trips with beach operators etc, these aren't half as good/safe!)
Nakuru, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
L'incroyable lac rose (car couvert de flamands) de Nakuru! Voir mes photos!
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
In Nairobi-Most Kenyans wants to be the boss. When Coming through an airport walk straight through and don't check bags unnecessarily-If you do chances are that you'll be there for a few hours explaining why you brought certain items into kenya.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Go to the harbour and trade your jeans for a wood carving
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
The locals in Mombassa are very friendly, and overall trustworthy. Ask them about their traditional chicken, and you may just get a free home-cooked meal!
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
stay at the White Sands Beach Resort..fantastic place..
Nakuru, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
the only place to see is the lake with thousands of flamingos and wild buffaloes in the mud..apart from that there is nothing to see over there..
Naivasha, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
when in naivasha, head for the lake, it's full of flamingos! So rent a boat and go look to those fascinaing creatures
Kisii, Nyanza Region, Kenya
Beware of the ditches on either side of the main street, they're a killer. Good place to get a haircut and some not very fresh fish. When in Kisii I recommend the Kisii hotel however it is probably better to pitch a tent than stay in a room.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
A very good restaurant in Nairobi is Javas Restaurant. It's not too expensive and the ones missing Hamburgers and French Frieses Or the ones who just want a change should go there. Best and cheapest way to travel through Nairobi are Matatus but you have to know which number you need and how much it should cost else you could be cheated. Something you need to have seen is the Maasai Market on tuesday or the market on saturday. Bargaining is a must but one can make a lot of friends.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
the best and the cheapest shooping in the whole world!!!!
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Wonderfull Safari location!

Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Keep your doors locked at all times........ and dont forget that airport staff are always open o bribes.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Do not, i repeat do not give the porters at the airport you bag..... you will not see it again.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Mombasa has a good Padi diving school for scuba diving.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Mombasa to Nairobi by night train was a very pleasing event. Have an interesting orient express feeling. Do not expect much comfort tho, as the track is somewhat old and many stops for the local wildlife.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
There is a line flight from Nairobi airport into a jungle strip in the Amboseli national parc. The flight is executed in a genuine DC3 (dual engined civil prop plane). One of the most beautiful flights i ever had.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Nairobi is a gr8 place. It has the old reminence of the British empire and u can see their influences, if u look hard enough. But u can also experiance the true africa and make it your own experiance, which u will never forget.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
wow mombasa is a special city but interessting.diani beach Leisure lodge a nice Hotel, it is like a 3-4 Star in Europe but realy nice with friendly people and the best Beach from all other Hotels
Lamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Rent a boat to make a trip over the island, it is cheat and is a beautiful experience!
Lodwar, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
You do need to take a guide or you will end up dead! The kids are willing to help for anything from a T-shirt to a pair of sunglasses and when they say it's safe to swim in Lake Turkana out of crocodile season, it's true but the fish are nasty too!
Malindi, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Malindi is a beautiful place, although it's better not to hang around at night. I stayed at DRIFTWOOD Hotel at the beach near the most beautiful marinepark I ever seen. So take those goggles with you!!! Go on a walk to the sandbank in front of the coast and see the most amazing starfish you ever seen... looks like plastic but isn't. Do not buy any shells as souvenier, it's illegal to take stuff from the sea and it keeps the Marine National Park to stay in good condition!! I went there on my own, walked along the beach for 5 days. It's save and it's fun... if your into a chat with some local guys. Do not go out at night!! If you go to Malindi you defintly need to by a 'kikoy' (more known as 'sarong') there beautiful and top quality!
Lamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Lamu is absolutly an amazing little nice wild place! You can get there practicly only by a small plane landing in a short dirty road than sail to the village that's over the sea. If you like the paces where there is no energy, no fridges, no ice, no hospital, ho hotels, NO CARS, no turists, nothing but old walls and nature with some mens than you'll simply LOVE it! What to do there?...nothing but walk around and enjoy the absence of modern life... I've been there my first time when I was 12 with my grandpa and we had absolutly no problems so I beleave it's a safe place where to go. Yust logically respect their traditions. The sea is not nice to swim. The food is fine. Pay atteantion to the water you drink. To sleep look for local accomodations. I've been in the Lamu Hause...I really suggest it! It's WONDERFUL!
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Try renting one of the many beach houses. they are very affordable and offer standards far in excess of 5 star hotels. The service is impeccable and the rooms beautiful.Along with the beach house comes a 24 hr chef, laundry service and the opportunity to buy seafood fresh from the fisherman on the beach (bring your chef with you to get better prices).
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Bobbes Bistro is located in Riverside Drive - approx. 10 minutes driver from Nairobi Central Business Area. Well, that is if you are going there outside of the rush hour(s).It is a French restaurant - actually the building used to be the previous owners house - with a lovely garden. The food is excellent - five star - but so is the level of prices. The restaurant has fantastic food, a good selection of wines - and to finish a great meal... Well, nothing compares to some Cognac and coffee..... Pipe smokers - be aware... You will be politely asked to get the pipe out of sight :-)
Kibera, Nairobi Area, Kenya
kibera is in kenia, probably the most big "poor city" of the world whit one or two million of people. don´t walk alone
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
FOR DIVING or BOAT TRIPNot far away from there is Mombasa and many little fisherman villages, like Shimoni...The beach and landscape are awesome. And its easy to go into the village and make some "friends" :) specially childrens...For divers or snorkellers I recomend: Liquid Marine. Is a small Diving Center, but the best. And the Crew its very cool and responsable... You will spend some nice time there...Kisseswww.liquidmarine.net -Shimoni-
Kibera, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Kibera is probably the biggest slum in Kenya. Don't go there unless you have a local guide who can be trusted. Take care of yourself and your belongings, and don't bring big money in there or things you care about like camera. Get out of there before darkness falls.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Nairobi is a lot of things. It is a big noisy, bustling city, but I got to like it somehow. There are many okay places to eat, as long as you are open to it, many small joints sells fries or african meals, and I never get sick from them. Getting around is not so hard, you "just" have to find out which matatu goes where. The locals are in general friendly, but beware, the best thing is to get into conversation naturally. People who contact you on the street should not be trusted too much... Nairobi is called Nairobbery, so just take care of your belongings. Dont put them where they can be seen or easily snatched.
Kakamega, Western Kenya, Kenya
When going to Kakamega, you are going to see the rain forest. It is worth it to ask for a local guide at the park gate, they know everything you might want to know - and can take you out of the forest again. Seing a real rain forest is impressive, so dont forget camera and waterproof boots.
Thika, Central Kenya, Kenya
If you go to Thika, you should visit the nearby waterfall called 14 falls. It takes some time to get there and the road is not good, but it is a very nice waterfall. A local guide can also show you around, there is a lake with some hippos and some different birds. However, the might ask a high prize, but it can be negotiated. In Thika Town there are hotels, but you can also make the trip to 14 falls a one-day trip from Nairobi if you leave in the morning.
Tsavo, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
You have to go on Safari! Tsavo has so many elephants... and further in direction Kilimanjaro Kimana, is one of the most beautiful montains -looks different every hour. Also interesting are the Masai. Theire jewelry and red coloured clothes are really impressing. And they can JUMP!
Watamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
fantastic place to go the locals are freindly but as with any city kep an eye on your belongings plenty to see and do
Kikambala, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
beautful place, watch out for beatles. weather is ideal in july and august, quite warm but not too hot to walk around in.
Watamu, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Watamu is on the North Coast of Kenya. From Mombasa there is a big road to Watamu and Malindi. There is a Hotel "Watamu Beach Hotel" and this is very beautiful with the Beach! It's really great thers!
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
If you want to escape all the tourists in the Carnivore restaurant, go to Rangers instead. It's IN the Nairobi national park (close to the main entrance) and you can eat (good food, good value for money) while watching the animals at the waterhole, very cool! Best time to go is for late dinner (after 8pm) as there will be more animals
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
I AM JUST LOOKING FORWARD TO GET THERE,I`LL BE THERE IN OCTOBER
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Join a safari in Masaimara National Part!
Amboseli, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Sehenswert, da man superschöne Fotos mit dem Kilimandscharo als Hintergrund schiessen kann. Ansonsten gleicht der Park einem Zoo mit Rundstrecke.
Narok, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Der Masai Mara Nationalpark wird über Hügel und Stepen erforscht. Das ist Safari pur!! Sehr empfehlenswert.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Nairobi is one of my favorite places. Only been there once. I will love to go back with my kids . I am waiting for them to older because this is a place that you can go once in your lifetime. It very expensive but is worthly to go. If you like nature and beauty this is one of the best places to go. Safari and wild life is the main attraction. People a very humble. Nairobi is known as the safari capital of Africa, however the city has still managed to keep up with modernization. Unlike other cities, Nairobi is surrounded by 113 sq. kms of plains, cliffs and forest that makes up the city’s Nairobi National Park. The city is filled with many things to do during the day and the night. Tourists can have their pick from numerous safaris (wildlife, cultural, sport, adventure, scenic and specialist), ecotourism tours, restaurants, culture, shopping and entertainment. While in Nairobi, tourists can also engage in numerous sports from golf, rugby, athletics, polo, horse-racing, cricket and football (soccer). Nairobi National Park, just outside Nairobi. This is home to large herds of Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Giraffe, Lion, Cheetah, Hippo, Rhino and even birdlife (over 400 species). Here you can also go on the Nairobi Safari Walk, an educational centre to make people aware of wildlife and habitat conservation. Also in the park is the Nairobi Animal Orphanage. Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, close to the Nairobi National Park. This Orphanage takes in elephant calves and rhinos from all over Kenya which were orphaned by poaching. Giraffe Centre, in Lang'ata right outside of Nairobi. The Centre breeds the endangered Rothschild Giraffe and has conservation/education programmes for Kenyan children. It also has many warthogs. Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park, is centred around a 2,146 metre mountain. This is a mountain forest and plain land, with a large population of Buffalo. It also serves as a refuge for Colobus monkeys, bushbuck, duiker, leopard, and a large variety of bird species. 14 Falls, a waterfall at Thika. Tana River, is an hour's drive from the city. White water rafting throughout cataracts, which leads to the 14 Falls can be done here. The rafting trip also includes a full BBQ lunch. Nairobi National Museum, where visitors can learn about Nairobi, its history and culture. Currently the museum is closed for major renovations. National Railway Museum, visitors can learn more about the history of Kenya’s railroads and the Kenya/Uganda railway. It also houses, some of the engines and rolling stock from the country’s colonial period. Karen Blixen Museum, is based on the Karen Blixen’s book "Out of Africa". Her house is now the home of the museum. It is located on the outskirts of Nairobi and a taxi or bus can get you to the museum. Bomas of Kenya, portrays Kenya’s culture. Visitors can see exhibits of traditional Kenyan homes, artifacts, dances, music, and song. Uhuru Gardens, built in remembrance of the struggle for independence, which Kenya was granted in 1963. The monument is a 24 metre high triumphal column supporting a pair of clasped hands and the dove of peace, high over a statue of freedom fighter raising the flag. The monument is surround by fountains and lush-landscaped gardens.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Mombasa is one of the most beautifull places to relax at ... listinin to the African sea and exploring the vast sea life is truely a pleasure
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya

Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Kenya Rox! The people are so nice friendly! :D Swahilli is really easy fun to learn it'll earn you respect from locals if you make tha effort! Although you should be careful about security issues! Never go out at night alone know the areas not to go. If your looking for places to eat in nairobi there are many places The talisman (in karen is great for lunch) Meditteraneo (in dagoretti, is fabulous for lunch dinner) Carnivore (all you can eat buffet of meat, its really nice, beside wilson airport) Handis (an indian down past tha sarit shopping centre. Its also in london beside harrods so its of a high standard) The equivalent of mc donalds in village market does really nice creamy ice-cream there's a great water park pitch putt beside it! Kenya is a great place to go (as i should know i lived there) :D Hope this helps someone! X
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
well as alot of people have hear the locals call it "nai-robbery" so my best tip would be to lock your back packs and wear them on the front so you can see them at all times as i have heard storys of bags being slit open with knives. Also ask the locals were its safe to walk and were it isn't as with every town there are some bad areas unfortunitly the bus station is bang in the middle of nairobis :P but have fun its an awesome clourful amazing place!
Malaba, Western Kenya, Kenya
If you're crossing the border, be on time. The border guards are still there after sunset, but they charge extra (a bribe) for working "overtime" and letting you across.
Kericho, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Have not been here for many years; the Kericho Tea Hotel used to be a must stop but I have heard it has gone to seed.anyway, you are not far from Kitale, and Kitale is not far from Saiwa Swamp, one of the few places to see sitatunga and a bunch of birdlife with West African affinities
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
To go to the beaches on the south of Mombasa, the best is to negociate with a Taxi. We got 30$ till Ukunda Beach
Kakamega, Western Kenya, Kenya
Kakamega is a great rainforest which I highly recommend. There you can really relax in the flow of nature. I was staying in earth made little hut. Villagers brought me fresh milk and I had some of my rice...to me that was the best milk rice I have ever eaten :)...cooked on fire with monkey jumping in nearby branches. I highly recomend this place for a longer period of time. Place is more suitable for those that enjoy the peace fo nature and do not wish a lot of westeren kind of fun. I also went around the forest with a guide who explained me all about the animals and different kinds of trees. One thing that is not recommended is to explore the forest without a guide. One Hungarian woman got so lost that she needed 2 days to come out, all dirty, scared to death...well it is still a rainforest. Also I got lost very quickly...in about 5 minutes :)
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
I was here a few times and it is a little scary. The security on the airport has massive guns and they are even positioned on the runway...rather strange
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
go to a trip to masai mara and feel the jungle life
Amboseli, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
Whilst on a trip to Kenya, do a safari to Amboseli. A game drive to see the wild animals is superb. You will have to get up early, but it is worth it. You can also do an evening game drive, which is great in the warm evening air. You are usually in an open top minibus, where you can see all the animals up close.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
We were told that Nairobi wasn't a particularly safe place, but if you don't walk around in gold jewellery and flasing a load of cash, it is ok. Just take care and be cautious.
Mombasa, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Don't leave anything there you'd want to go back for.

If you're going to Mombasa, the best thing to do is plan outdoor activities, especially on the sea. There are really great safari parks nearby, too.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
Don’t venture out alone in the night. Beware of thieves. Scenic places.
Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
If you're going to Nairobi, Safari Park is the place to go for the wild animal attraction! So pack your cameras, and get ready for a wild safari ride.
Malindi, Coastal Kenya, Kenya
Kitale, Rift Valley Region, Kenya
A Very peaceful town, things are almost always happy here.

Een must voor de afrikafan :) Geweldige sfeer die er hangt... Mooie grote slagtanden aan de ingang van de stad geven de imposante grootte weer
