Nyeri is the blackest place I've ever been. I've had people stare at me or small groups of children follow me because of my funny straight hair and fair skin lots of times. But in Nyeri, a crowd of hundreds, mostly children, gathered 'round and pointed excitedly shouting, "Muzungu! Muzungu!" (White Man) I looked around around frantically, as if I too were searching for the White Man. "Where?!!" I asked. "You," a child replied. I pulled back my sleeve and howled in mock astonishment. To which the children laughed and danced. I LOVED Kenya.

If you are into neat weird things, go to the Falls and ask someone for a "kinyonga."  He'll bring you a chameleon, one of the strangest lizards in the world. Totally harmless, and you must let it go but a neat experience.
