If you go to Thika, you should visit the nearby waterfall called 14 falls. It takes some time to get there and the road is not good, but it is a very nice waterfall. A local guide can also show you around, there is a lake with some hippos and some different birds. However, the might ask a high prize, but it can be negotiated. In Thika Town there are hotels, but you can also make the trip to 14 falls a one-day trip from Nairobi if you leave in the morning.
