Make an effort to get to know the locals. If you stay at a resort hotel, they will convince you the 'beach boys' are there to rup you off. They're not. They are just trying to make a living. If you get to know them, they will provide you with the most interesting tours you can do, trips into the local villages, guided tours at low tide of the coral gardens, all for a small tips.
